From My Heart To Yours

Today we took two of our grandchildren to the Museum of Transportation. Michael Barkon was a teacher of American History in Hazelwood, and he made the visit full of rich detail. Our Aaron (9) regaled his parents with bits of information I only remembered when his mom, Erica, told me what he said. It was delightful! The huge trains, the historical importance, the names, the parts, the sweet patience of Mr. Barkon made this an A+day for all of us! Most precious to me, I think, was seeing the Pullman limited. As you can see from the dining car, it was elegance on wheels!  My mother took Jeff and me on trips down South of the Pullman when we were small. Wonderful day!
